Rai Lay Bay Beach Resort & Spa hotel booking

Relax one of the pools on the beach, in in the middle of the resort (new)
Railay Bay Beach resort has been upgraded, and is looking good. They've get a new restaurant and some new rooms and a new pool. The new rooms are the Privacy Cottages and the Garden Pool Villas. The new rooms are very nice, but we feel that the older rooms represent better value for money.

We've just heard that Railay Bay now provide free Wifi around the restaurant and Railay Suite Cottages- We've not tried it yet, but guests who have have said it works well. Great idea!

These three cottages are the ultimate in luxury/ decadence. There is a small library room, supplying DVD's to watch on the TV while enjoying the huge King Size bed. The price includes transfers to and from Krabi airport.

Please note- the new rooms, the Garden Pool Villa and the Privacy cottages, are not stand alone bungalows like the Cottages. They are built close together, but are very private by virtue of a quite high surrounding wall. This may appeal to those who really like their privacy.

Railay Garden Pool Villa
There are 4 garden cottages, each of which shares a small private pool with it's twin (good for splashing around in, but not for swimming). Both rooms around the pool are only rented out together. They are all very nice doubles with huge King size beds. These rooms have a Jacuzzi bath tub, and a private outdoor garden shower. There is also a "living room" with a day bed (more like an alcove). The TV comes with a DVD player. They even deliver a daily English news paper. Last year several groups of friends and families booked both cottages together and the feedback we got was that they loved having a large private space to share.

Railay Privacy Cottages
Recently finished in 2007 these are some of the newest and nicer accommodation in Railay. I was a little skeptical at first as the concept is a little different from the traditional row of garden cottages, but it seems people really do enjoy the extra privacy as the feedback from last year was overwhelmingly positive. Each cottage has a Jacuzzi bath tub, a huge brand new king sized bed and "living room" with a day bed (more like an alcove). They also deliver a daily English news paper.

Railay Superior Garden Cottage
These slightly aging cottages used to be the height of luxury on Railay. Now they've been relegated to budget level. Non the less they remain pleasing self contained air conditioned cottages in a garden setting. Some guests have complained that they can hear the generator from some of these cottages. Personally we did not find it an issue.
| Low season 2008-2009 |
2,200 Baht per night |
| High season 2008-2009 |
3,000 Baht per night |

Extra beds are available in all rooms except in the Superior cottages and the Deluxe building. An extra bed costs 1,200 Baht (this includes breakfast).
Transfer costs from Krabi airport are 1200 Baht each way. After 5:00pm there is an extra 300 Baht charge each way.
