Railey Beach Diamond Cave Bungalows

From Railey Sunrise beach, it's a couple of minutes walk to the bungalows. From the nicer beaches (Railey Sunset and Phra Nang Beach) it's an easy 10-15 minute walk. The rooms are some of the nicest on Railey Sunrise side, and as with everything on Sunrise side, they are very reasonably priced.

Service
The levels of service can randomly fluctuate from good to non existent, to rude. This can sometimes ruin some peoples holiday. For this reason we recommend Diamond Cave to backpackers who want something a little nicer that's still cheap, and only the very patient holiday makers... If you want your room cleaned, then you must give your key to reception and ask for the room to be made up.

Facilities

One of my favorite things to do is to have a massage. I don't think there is anywhere in the world (except perhaps India) where you can get such a good massage at such an affordable price. A definite bargain! The girls at Diamond Caves Spa give great Thai massages. There are also various other spa/ beauty related things that they can do for you. Be spoilt...

The restaurant serves a mix of Thai and Western food. There is a lounge area in reception and a very nice pool. What makes the pool so good is the panorama of crazily colored cliffs jutting through the jungle...

Transfers / Transport
Transfers from Krabi airport to Railay Beach are available for 1500 Baht each way per person. Transfers are also available from Phuket airport to Railay beach for 3500 Baht each way per person. After 6:00pm there is an extra 200 Baht charge per transfer.

Twin means two double beds. Up to four people can stay in a twin. All rooms have a fridge and a TV. An "american" buffet breakfast is now included.

An extra bed can be provided for 600 Baht a night. This include breakfast for the extra person.
Children between 5 and 11 years old can stay in the room for 200 Baht a night each (incl breakfast)

During peak season guests must stay at least 3 nights.
Guests can not check out on the 24 Dec or the 31st of Dec.

Guests staying on 24th Dec will be charged 2,500 Baht per adult, 1,250 Baht per child (5-11 years) for the Christmas gala dinner.
Guests staying on 31st Dec will be charged 2,500 Baht per adult, 1,250 Baht per child (5-11 years) for the Christmas gala dinner.

Our bungalows are located on sunrise side of the thin strip of land which makes up the Railay peninsula. All of our bungalows are no more than two minutes walk from the beach. To the nicer beach (sunset) it is about a 10 minute walk.

Booking

---

To book a stay in our bungalows please fill out the booking form below. It is a good idea to book several months in advance during high season as we do get very full.

Once we have received your booking we will email you confirmation of the rooms availability.
The email will contain a link to our secure credit card payment gateway. You will then have the choice of paying a deposit on your booking with either a VISA or a MasterCard.
Our credit card gateway is implemented with 128 bit encryption in conjunction with the Bank of Asia.

If after you have paid your booking, you wish to cancel, then you may do so up to a month before arrival with a cancellation fee of 10% of the total accommodation cost.
If your booking is in peak season, which runs from Dec 20 - Jan 10, then we require 2 months notice.
If your booking is in high season, which runs from Nov 1 - April 30, then we require 1 months notice.
If your booking is in low season then we only require two weeks cancellation notice (a cancellation fee of 10% still applies).
If you do not cancel within the required time limit we may be unable to provide you with a refund.

In addition we are now providing refunds for natural disasters. If a natural disaster occurs and your cancellation notice has expired, we will provide a refund of 75% of the booking, or reschedule your booking (depending on customer preference). Natural disasters are limited to Tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanoes, comet strikes and the end of the world. To put things in persepective as far as natural disaster go, there has only be one Tsunami mildly affecting Krabi in recorded history, and that was in 2004.
