Great View Railay Bay Beach hotel booking
This in one of Railays newer resorts, finished in 2011. The rooms are large luxurious and very comfortable. The resort is secluded, located far enough away from Railay to feel like you are away from the crowds. The staff are very friendly and as the name suggests, the views are great.
Facilities
Massages are available, there are kayaks, and there is a mini mart and tourist information/ booking agency on site. There is also a very nice restaurant serving a wide range of Thai and Western dishes. If something is not on the menu, just ask and they will be happy to cook it for you.
There is also a nice new pool now!
Free Wifi available!
There is truly impressive wi-fi coverage over the resort. They must have about 10 repeaters, which means that you can get excellent connections from the comfort of your bed. It's also pretty fast- particularly for Railay.
A few caveats-
We really liked this resort. Great rooms and excellent staff. The rooms, built into the hill, have good views. To get to your room, you will have to walk up the hill through the well kept gardens. This will be fine for most people, but if you have kids, you will not be able to use your push chairs.
There is a beach the resort is built on, but this is only suitable for swimming at high tide. You are likely to want to spend the day on the far nicer PhraNang beach. To get to the really nice beach you will have to either walk (about 20-30 min) or take the scheduled complimentary boat. Taking the boat is actually a very nice option, as the ride is beautiful and you can be dropped and picked up at the best spots..
The resort is a little out of the way, which makes it a very peaceful spot. This peace can be disturbed by the sounds of boats going past. The boats tend to go from sunrise to sunset, so if you are sensitive to boat noise, then you have been warned.
Finally alcohol is not sold at the resort. It's fine to bring and consume your own, but the resort does not sell it.
